Vybez Kartel Sues Ex-Commissioner and TVJ

Vybez Kartel has filed a defamation suit against Ex-Police Commissioner Owen Ellington and TVJ.

Documents filed in the court by the dancehall artist state that Ellington and TVJ made statements on April 10, which he is claiming caused him to experience contempt and ridicule.

The statements were allegedly made following Kartel’s conviction for murder, on the program All-Angles and there was no disclaimer from TVJ to distance itself from what was said.

The court documents further states that there has been no attempt by either parties to retract the statements, as a result this has damaged the Plaintiff’s reputation and caused him much distress and embarrassment.
