By Jamaica Gleaner

The baritone singer, who hails from the western parish of St James, is currently racing up the charts with the pro-female independence track called Check.

In recent times, he has recorded a number of popular hits, including the unforgettable lover’s anthem Forever and Always, Those Days, Can’t Come Between, We Can Feel Alive, Can’t Tek Di Pressure and Two Places featuring Shaggy.

Now, Hezron’s bouncy Check, which is the first single off his debut album, The Life I Live(d), is currently number 14 on the Jamaica Music Countdown Top 25 Reggae Singles Chart.

“Check is doing well. It is getting a lot of love from the fans. Everywhere I perform, I get requests to sing it,” he said.

The Life I Live(d) is also doing well on other charts. It is currently number five on the Jamaica Music Countdown Top 10 Albums Chart, number 12 on the South Florida Top 15 Albums Chart, and it is number 14 on the New York Foundation Radio Network Top 20 Albums Chart.

“The response to my album has been overwhelming. Since it was released, I have been getting a lot of positive feedback from fans all over the world. A lot of radio DJs have been playing various tracks from the album, too. This has helped to create a nice buzz,” said the artiste.

Hezron will officially launch The Life I Live(d) at the Countryside Club on Tuesday, July 15.
