Michael Rose was born in Jamaica July 11, 1957. He is a Grammy award winning reggae singer. Rose join the group Black Uhuru in 1977. He led them to international success in the early 1980’s, having written most of their popular songs. Black Uhuru won the first-ever Grammy Award for reggae in 1985 for the album Anthem.
